WaterFilter

 Goal:  

1. Filter out contaminants in water. 

2. Have the water filter easily removable by myself, in case it does not work, there is a 50% chance it will fail in 1st year.

Approach: 
 1. After long thought, decided to buy water filters from AFW(An American company that makes the product in US). 
2. Their products last long and very high quality. 

 Existing Water Filter: 
 1. The 2 iron filters(the black ones) on the right.They are un-predictable. It can no longer be serviced because the company that installed it no longer services it. 
 2. The water softener. The back flush and such is working, but the regen(Resin regeneration) is NOT working. It is somewhat acceptable and i decided to put it off now after purchasing a de-scaler.
4. The iron filter feeds in to the water softener.
New Water PreFilter: 

5. This is the new carbon water filter i am planning to buy.
6. The water filter needs to be serviced every 3 to 5 years to have the activate carbon re-filled. So it is important to make it as a quick disconnect which me the home owner can do it myself.
7. Expect mismatches in height between old and new water filter. 





New Water Filter: 

8. This is the new iron/Manganese water filter i am planning to buy.
9. The water filter needs to be serviced every 3 to 5 years to have the resin replaced. So it is important to make it as a quick disconnect which me the home owner can do it myself.
10. Expect mismatches in height between old and new water filter.

 NOTE: After replacing any outlet below, no open ground and no open neutral should be present. Please complete item#1 before going to item#2 and so on. Please work on them in the same order. 1. Fix the outlet in the photo. The one by the kitchen is 20A, so may be this one requires 20A outlet. The back flush discharge pipes i just replaced and it does carry the discharge from water softener in other modes like Back Flush, Back Rinse etc...but the regen on the water softener itself is not working. 4. Driveway

 Need to Fix my Driveway. 1. Edges of my drive way were extended at some point, and were done without properly compacting the base layer below it. Hence it cracked and chipped away. 2. I hand dug them out, as a truly good asphalt contractor was going to come and fix it. He fixed the part in the front sides. 3. But he is very busy now and i could not reach out. 4. Please refer photos, and let me know if this is something, you want to undertake.  5. I am not looking for full rip out and replace. Center of drive way is good, the sides are bad. 6. I want to put a channel drain as well at the end of my driveway near my garage. If this is something you want to undertake, then please let me know the quote for that as well. The link is here . 7. HOT ASPHALT quotes only, NO COLD PATCH. On this photo below, i used some cement to stabilize the base, before asphalt. Please let me know if you want me to do that before you come.
