Goal : 1. Filter out contaminants in water. 2. Have the water filter easily removable by myself, in case it does not work, there is a 50% chance it will fail in 1st year. Approach : 1. After long thought, decided to buy water filters from AFW(An American company that makes the product in US). 2. Their products last long and very high quality. Existing Water Filter: 1. The 2 iron filters(the black ones) on the right.They are un-predictable. It can no longer be serviced because the company that installed it no longer services it. 2. The water softener. The back flush and such is working, but the regen(Resin regeneration) is NOT working. It is somewhat acceptable and i decided to put it off now after purchasing a de-scaler. 4. The iron filter feeds in to the water softener. New Water PreFilter: 5. This is the new carbon water filter i am planning to buy. 6. The water filter needs to be serviced every 3 to 5 years to have the activate carbon re-filled. So it is important to
